Ethanol bill has more pluses than minuses

The Sheboygan Press editorialized in support of a state mandate that gasoline sold in the state must contain 10% ethanol. The editorial says:

Local and state farmers who grow corn will benefit from an E-10 gas mandate by giving them another market for their product. We would rather some of the money we pay for gas going to local farmers than to major oil companies or foreign countries.

Use of E-10 would also spur growth in the production of ethanol, expanding the economy and creating jobs. Wisconsin already has four plants producing about 180 million gallons of ethanol a year.
