When a wind turbine experiences a failure, the anit-wind forces scream about the safety of wind turbines, but they don’t scream about the safety of cranes and demand that their town boards outlaw cranes, because safety does not motivate wind opponents. They simply don’t want to look at the turbines which will generate the electricity to power their homes.

A nearly 20-story-tall crane toppled backwards from a 25-story building in Manhattan, flattening several stories of a nearby building and killing at least four people, according to city officials.Numerous others were injured, and an unknown number may be trapped in the rubble, city officials said.
